Breathtaking news: Lawrence Schiller’s “Marilyn & Me”
__________________________________________________

Marilyn for ever! – On occasion of its 65th birthday, the Cannes film festival pays tribute de Marilyn Monroe by choosing her as effigy of its edition 2012. As one of the greatest of Hollywood’s icons, sexy, sparkling and moving, she is featured in every magazine and newspaper across the globe fifty years after her premature death and “reincarnated” in the recent movie My Week with Marilyn. You think you have heard, read and seen all about her. But the worldwide launch in May of TASCHEN’s Limited Edition Marilyn & Me by Lawrence Schiller is a true editorial event. Lawrence Schiller’s story has never been told before. He tells it with tact, humour and compassion. Step into Marilyn Monroe’s intimacy at the time when the movie Something’s Got to Give was being shot. More than a hundred extraordinary photographs from two of her final films, most of them never seen before, contribute to this unexpected, poignant portrait of Marilyn Monroe that you will read straight through to the end without stopping.

Lawrence Schiller is one of the four photographers still alive having immortalized Marilyn Monroe. Since his book about Marilyn with Norman Mailer was released in 1973 and sold world wide in 16 languages and 6,000,000 copies, he had never published another story about the star. Lawrence Schiller will be touring in Europe from May 16 for the opening of his exhibitions and the launch of Marilyn & Me to meet the press and the public in Cannes, through to the London premiere solo exhibition. This trip crowns his emblematic career as a photojournalist, film director and bestselling author. I will be happy to organize interviews with Lawrence Schiller in London.

Robert Indiana Love

Indiana is a world renowned Pop artist. He is part of the American Pop masters group which comprises: Andy Warhol (as the king of Pop), Lichtenstein, Haring, JM Basquiat. Indiana is 87 years old and really the last one of that group and period to eb still alive.

Walton Fine Arts have specialised in the work of Robert Indiana for over two decades, and continue to be the main specilists of his edition works in Europe. It only seems normal to think that, with such a well acclaimed artist, that now would be the best time to buy and invest in his works. With collectors for over 50 years globally and his works being shown in the top museums globally, good works are already becoming scarce.

With hand signed limited editions custom framed to museum standards starting from £3,000 it makes great sense to start now.
