Framing

Framing
At Walton Fine arts, we pride ourselves in delivering, the highest standard of framing the world has to offer.

Framing for a large number of collectors, museums and galleries all over the world. From New York to L.A., From India to Australia. People come to us from far away, as good framing matters and we deliver just that.

We feel that the frame on a work of art, be it a work on paper or a canvas, is a make or break to the ultimate look of a piece. Apart from the beauty, all works are undertaken using museum standards material. Every piece is looked at explicitly, to create an individual custom made and handmade frame.

Frame Types

The framing choices can vary from a simple wooden box frame; where this can be made to any colour. Or a hand gulit in white or yellow gold. And even a funky contemporary plexy box frame.

Paspertout

Each piece has the choice of various handcut paspertout (mounts); these can be ordered from single to quadruple layers, all handcut at an agle to create further deapth and beauty for the artwork.

Glass

You have the choice of several glass types too: regular glass of coarse is the basic choice. However this does leave the observer with a great amount of glare, in addition to the eventual damage from UV rays being magnafied. You can also have a plexy glass; although having the advantage of being light, non break charactaristics and some UV protection, it still leaves the question of glare and ease of sctratching. Finally the museum glass choice; this will provide various degrees of UV light protection, as well as a considerable anti glare benefit. However it does make the artwork quite heavy. There are a few qualities of museum glass, varying in protection grades.

Quotes

Please call for an appointment to bring your pieces in for a consultation. If however, you are not able to visit our gallery, you are welcome to simply email the request, and we will be able to take care of the whole process remotely. You need not worry, as half of the framing we do, are for works that we do not see. However, we require full, accurate measurements of the pieces.
