The record company debuted the full trailer for the film Amy which is released in the summer.
Amy who died aged 27 in 2011 had won a record breaking five Grammys in 2008 including song and record of the year.
Universal boss David Joseph said: “About two years ago we decided to make a movie about her — her career and her life.
Iggy performed Fancy and Sam Smith followed with the song Nirvana and a rendition of Stay With Me.
Fifty Shades of Grey fans were also treated to a performance of the film’s track Earned It by The Weeknd.
