Looking for the perfect gift? Give ART.

A gift can sometimes be tricky to choose… it’s easy to fall into tried cliches or to buy something which will prove disappointing for the recipient. Not that they will let you know of course (if they are kind) but you might feel it is so. We all aim to impress when we make a gift so aim high!

Art is a cool, meaningful, beautiful, classy, valuable and durable present. Good news is , you don’t need to be a zillionaire to afford it. That is unless you’re planning on getting an original Picasso but that’s another story. 1818

Be My Valentine…

Valentine’s Day  is an annual holiday celebrated on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian liturgical feast day honouring one or more early saints named Valentinus, Valentine’s Day is now recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country. [Wikipedia]

Regardless of its cultural or social significance, we believe it is an important occasion to celebrate the closest people we surround us with: our partners, spouses, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends… the ones we chose to spend the most of our time with and with whom we share (or intend to share) a life path through thick and thin, every day.

Who is Banksy?

“Graffiti is one of the few tools you have if you have almost nothing.” (Banksy, Artist)

Banksy is a famous – but anonymous – British graffiti artist. He keeps his identity secret!

He produces pieces of work which pop up in public places, such as on the walls of buildings.

A lot of his art is done in a particular style which people can easily recognise. You can find out more about that at the bottom of this page.

He began spray-painting trains and walls in his home city of Bristol in the early 1990s. Bristol is well known for its colourful street art and graffiti.

But in the 2000s, he expanded his work beyond Bristol and was soon leaving his artistic mark all over the world.

He quickly became well known as an artist who would poke fun at big companies and send political messages through his work.
